Coolock, Artane, Killester and Raheny make up the bulk of our D5 callouts. Twenty minutes from Jamestown to the Coolock industrial belt via the M50 junction 5, longer if you're going down to Sutton via the Tonlegee Road. The estate housing here is mostly 1960s and 1970s semis — a steady stream of RSJ knock-through work and side-gate repairs that look identical to what we see in Finglas.

Where we work most weeks

D5 covers a wide stretch from the back of Beaumont Hospital down to the Howth Road and across to Raheny. The housing stock is mostly 1960s and 1970s estate semis and terraces; the commercial belt sits along Coolock Lane and the Malahide Road. Calls cluster around half a dozen pockets:

  • Coolock industrial estate and the Northside Shopping Centre service yards — commercial gate repairs, bin-store enclosures, daily callouts for two delivery yards
  • Killester Avenue and the streets around Killester DART station — older railing repair, Edwardian terrace work
  • Artane around Killester Park and Brookwood Estate — 1960s semi knock-throughs (kitchen-extension RSJs)
  • The Cadbury (now Mondelez) yard off the Malahide Road — long-running maintenance arrangement for plant-room steelwork
  • Raheny village and the Howth Road terraces — driveway gates, garden-room fabrication
  • Beaumont Hospital service yard — periodic bracket and railing repairs (sub-contracted via the FM contractor)

What a D5 callout actually needs

  • Knock-through RSJs on 1960s semis. The biggest demand pattern here. Open-plan kitchen extensions on three-bed semis along Brookwood, Edenmore, Kilmore. Typically a 203×133 UB at around 3.0–3.6m opening, engineer-spec'd, EN 1090 cert from us.
  • Side gates on terraces. Standard pattern as Finglas — corroded hinge plates, sagging frames after thirty years. Quick mobile job, ninety minutes most cases.
  • Commercial yard maintenance. Two delivery-fleet yards and one warehouse FM contract are on quarterly inspection rotation with us — covers gates, dock-doors, bollards, fire-escape stairs.
  • CRW pre-test repairs. The Coolock fleet yards regularly send vehicles to us for chassis-crack and sub-frame repair before CRW retesting.

  • Weekday 08:00 – 17:00: average 2.5 hours from confirmed booking to arrival (M50 dependent)
  • Same-day in 50% of cases received before 11am
  • Emergency (broken commercial gate, damaged fire-escape): inside 2 hours during working hours
